Our jewelry and unique goods are inspired by metaphysical energy, mythical legends, and swanky spirits. The first ingredient in our handmade pieces is magic, our hand-picked and assemblage pieces are found with love and good vibes.
What started as a dream, a cause and a tray o f bracelets has grown into a family business. A creative graphic designer with a flair for art and jewelry making, Founder Heather Weikel always wanted to start her own business. In 2010, her first business, Kharma Collection, sold jewelry from small boutiques, hospital lobbies and art festivals. Championing Scleroderma, a rare autoimmune disease, Heather created bracelets to raise awareness and funds for scleroderma related causes. Before long her tray of bracelets grew into an entire display of jewelry. In 2012, she was invited by a friend to vend a tray of her popular Skully Kouture bracelets at a comic con. A new door opened and Skully Kouture was born. (See more about Kharma Collection at the bottom.)
Heather created a line of metaphysical jewelry to meet the increased need for healing and energy through natural remedies using materials like aura quartz, drusy and a multitude of other gemstones. She loves the opportunity to help her customers find their inner harmony and spread positivity. Her knowledge of stones and holistic remedies such as essential oils has influenced and inspired her lava stone jewelry designs.
A geeky fangirl at heart, some of her pieces are inspired by fandom favorites from legends such as vikings and pirates or enchanted by mermaids and wizards. Turn the page and you will see posh statement chokers and trendy threads for rock stars.
Skully is also a way for Heather to connect with other artists/vendors, give back to the community, and honor the memory and spirit of her Mother, Judy. Judy always had a goal to own her own business and now her dreams are finally being realized today through Skully Kouture. Along for the ride is her hubby Wayne, Dad Ben, and friends Christine and Laurie. Without them and the continued support from her family, customers and other vendors, Skully would not be possible.

Today you can still find our Serendipity bracelets. Heather's inspiration in the design of these unique pieces is the word “serendipity” which translates to:
“If you find good things without looking for them, serendipity — unexpected good luck — has brought them to you.”
She uses natural gemstones leftover from other jewelry projects to create these unique pieces. You could say these designs are “unexpected.” The stones she uses are full of healing energy and positive vibes. As an added healing element a little lava is added to each piece for oil diffusing purposes. Each Serendipity bracelet is numbered and assigned a charity to receive 50% of the proceeds from each sale.
Little Duchess Vintage:
Fine vintage goods and upcycled creations. Each piece is as timeless as you! We love items with history. Perusing the tents at Brimfield to estate sales...we love that vintage flare. Little Duchess was born after rescuing a 1920's chandelier from a trash pile. The chandelier itself was destroyed but most of the crystals were salvageable. We turned those pieces into wearable art creating earrings and necklaces. We travel up and down the east coast on the hunt for unique items. Those that need love we re-purpose into something magical.
